The value of the transaction to take the Company public was based primarily around previous equity financings to $1.5 million.  Of  which $1,354,000 is the audited amount of work spent on or in support of work to advance the project at site.  In summary from 2008 thru to the fall of 2009 this consisted of:

  • extensive access road construction, Karen zone and other areas
  • surface sampling & mapping, Karen zone and other areas
  • 7 x Reverse Circulation Holes, Karen zone
  • 3 x Diamond Drill Holes, Karen zone

Highlights

  • Legal (access) agreements were signed and completed with both relevant communities, Guadalupe Tayopa and Santa Ana.
  • Confidentiality Agreement signed with Corex Gold Corp (TSX-V: CGE), our direct neighbour who are very actively exploring a significant gold discovery contiguous to our property package.
  • Through numerous interim financing during the Qualifying Process with the Exchange, the Company continued exploration activities as follows:
  • Access road development (over 15 km) to the numerous exploration areas on the property.
  • Extensive systematic grid sampling and mapping of soil and rock chips for over 2000 samples assayed to date.
  • Completion and interpretation of a regional airborne magnetic survey carried out in conjunction with Corex Gold. 
  • All technical work completed under the supervision of both James McCrea, PGeo and Ryan Grywal, Bsc.Geo. This work has led to numerous additional target areas over and above the original discoveries reported in the last shareholders update.
  • Filed a revised 43-101 report in Q2 2010 in support of the Qualifying Transaction.
  • Company continued with its endeavour to pursue additional property packages in the area and expects to finalize numerous acquisitions in the near term.
  • Completed site preparation for a new camp and compound.
  • Designed & planned new camp and compound for its management and exploration team that includes accommodation, secure facilities for core storage & logging and sample preparation, as well as equipment storage and maintenance.  Construction expected to commence in Q1-11. 
  • On site personnel now numbers 6 people with plans to add personnel as the exploration program ramps up.

Overview

Original option agreement with First Mexican Gold Corp. (First Mex) allows First Mex to earn an 80% interest in the Hilda properties.  First Mex has the right to earn its interest in the contiguous Hilda 30, Hilda 31/32 and Hilda 37/38 concessions, a gold silver project with a total area of 1,350 hectares, situated in the South East of Sonora state, Mexico, about 190 km ESE of the state capital Hermosillo, and approximately 50 km west from the town of Yecora.  A paved highway passes within 15 km from the property.

An updated NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Hilda 30 Concession (the “Property”) was commissioned in support of the approval process for the Qualifying Transaction and co-authored by James G. Burns, whom carried out the original technical report from 2007; and John Archibald, whom was engaged to carry out and oversee the RC Drilling Program on the Property in the fall of 2009.  This Technical Report contemplates all work carried out through to the end of 2009, i.e. extensive surface sampling, 3 diamond drill holes and 7 reverse circulation holes.  The Company has filed this report on SEDAR (www.sedar.com).
